“B2b,” - Charli XCX: A simple club anthem, even though it’s mostly consisting of a chorus, it’s so infectiously catchy, and production wise, it’s got these punchy, laser sounding synths, and a pulsating drum rhythm. Charli’s voice sounds amazing on this song, and it sounds like something that would be played on repeat at a nightclub or party. When I get married I want the DJ to spin this track.

“ocean eyes,” - Billie Eilish: Billie’s vocal harmonies sound absolutely gorgeous on this track, and it’s so calming. I’ve really gotten into her music lately, and the low-key production from her brother, Finneas O’Connell really lets her shine vocally.

“In The End ( Mellen Gi Remix),” - Tommee Profitt, Mellen Gi, & Fleurie: A song I already loved, that’s originally from legendary nu-metal band, Linkin Park. This remix features very gloomy production with those dark violins hanging in the mix, and that echoey main piano riff. The trap drums are also a nice touch, as they give the remix a more modern touch. Mellen Gi has a fantastic voice, and the stripped back, gloomy sound of the track really hammers home the emotional theme of the song.

“Smells Like Teen Spirit,” - Malia J: Another classic song remixed, also with pianos and violins instrumentally. The minimal percussion and emotional swelling of the strings create a much more depressing sounding version of the famous Nirvana hit. I actually first heard this song in the Marvel movie, Black Widow, and I thought it was absolutely gnarly. The production is very moody, and I like Malia J’s voice.

“Heathens,” - twenty one pilots: A song by a band I’m not really a fan of, I like the dark eerie instrumentation of this track, and how it totally feels like a theme song for DC’s Suicide Squad, although the 2016 Suicide Squad movie is fucking terrible. The only redeeming quality of that film is the soundtrack, and thankfully the 2021 soft-reboot The Suicide Squad was a masterpiece that deserves more recognition.
