“Roses,” - Meg and Dia: A classic emo/indie track, I love the guitar riffs, and it’s one of my favorite Meg and Dia tracks. Both of their voices are fantastic on this song and the chorus is incredibly catchy. When the album that this track is from, Something Real, turns 20 I’m definitely gonna review it.

“Tobey,” - Eminem featuring Big Sean and Babytron: A new single from Eminem’s upcoming twelfth solo album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). Eminem and Big Sean are easily the stars of this track with their rapid fire verses, but Babytron’s contribution is strong as well. I like that all three rappers on this track are from Detroit, as well as Eminem featuring artists whose styles are different than his. The chorus is humorous and memorable, with the main line, “Tobey Maguire got bit by a spider, but see, me it was a goat.” I also like the fact that Eminem is incorporating newer sounds without making it sound like he's pandering.

“Vroom Vroom,” - Charli xcx: A past single from one of my new favorite artists, Charlie xcx. I loved her newest album, Brat. The production on this track, like many others, is insane with the different sounds and phases it goes through. She’s an incredibly versatile artist, and I admire her for doing everything she can to stand out with her own unique sound.

“ride around,” - Goat Girl: A fuzzy distorted alternative rock track, I definitely wanna check out more of Goat Girl’s music. I discovered them through having my music on shuffle, and I’m glad that I found this song. The main guitar riff is memorable, and I really enjoy the instrumentation of the track.

“Poison,” - JAHKOY: We return to another rap track, this one being a melodic one from Canadian R&B/hip hop artist, JAHKOY. He’s got a great voice, and I love the low-key production, with that pitched up vocal sample, and glitzy piano chords.
